Why Create Test Questions? • Students who design questions often already know the answers • Students who design questions are studying • Students who create incorrect test answers are more successful at identifying incorrect answers on other tests
A definition: • Distractor – an incorrect answer on a multiple choice test • These are called distractors because they “distract” students from the correct answer
