Indirect object notes • FIRST, take out any prep. phrases , locate the verb, and find the DIRECT OBJECT that answers what? or who? • THEN, stop at the direct object and ask yourself to whom/for whom? or to what/for what? in order to find the INDIRECT OBJECT.
