MY FAVOURITE BIRD By Sarah Pickard Form 1 London
There are many birds in the world but my favourite bird is a BUDGIE .
Birds are VERTIBRATE animals . This means that they have a back bone. This is a skeleton of a bird
Birds have feathers and wings. They don’t have feet but they have claws. These are budgie’s feet. These are budgie’s wings
Budgies should be kept in a cage and looked after carefully !! Even though budgies should be kept in a cage, they also need Sometime to fly around the house !!
The Budgie’s favourite food are bird seeds. They drink water. Fresh greens e.g.: lettuce. Favourite food & water Budgies also like fresh greens.
Birds scratch more than usual whilst replacing their feathers (molt) because they itch and new feathers grow.
Birds usually puff their feathers ! This is because they are cold and they want to get their body temperature back
Birds, sometimes yawn. This happens because the bird is tired. All birds sleep by turning its head backwards and tucks it into the back feathers. Bird resting. Bird yawning
You can tell whether the bird is a male or a female by the colour of its beak. If the colour of its beak is blue , then its a male. If the colour of its beak is pink ,then its a female.
I found this information from my PARAKEET HAND BOOK !! Some pictures are taken from the internet and some from my own camera Some of the birds from this power point are my own birds !! I HOPE THAT YOU ENJOYED THIS POWER POINT !!
