Unit Assignments • Assignment #1 • Repeat MineSight Assignment #1 with drawing basic shapes and lines, rotating views and zooming in and out • Assignment #2 • Use drill hole and contour data to create strata gridfiles and block models of a coal seam. • Assignment #3 • Layout a room and pillar mining operation • Show on your entries the ventilation pattern, the travelways, primary and secondary escapeways, and belt route

  3. Project • Time your mine map with consideration for changing seam thicknesses

  4. The Twist • This will be a self study unit built around the design videos of Carlson Software • (does not make a lot of sense to meet to watch videos) • You will also have Carlson’s software instruction book.

  5. Our Timing • Today – finish assignment #1 last unit • Thurs – finish assignment #2 and unit project last unit • Monday assignment #1 • Tuesday assignment #2 • Thursday assignment #3 • Following Monday – Finish the project
