  2. A hair transplant is a delicate procedure in which dermatologist hair loss specialist moves hair from thicker area of the scalp to the thinning area or bald area.

  3. No matter how your transplant is done, sometimes patients may have to face these complications following the hair transplant surgery.

  4. Patients may experience swelling in the forehead that may drive down towards eyelids after 24 to 48 hours after the surgery. However, it will resolve itself after 48 to 72 hours.

  5. Immediately after the surgery, there may be some bleeding from the donor area . Applying pressure for 15 minutes with a clean gauze is very effective for controlling the bleeding.

  6. Patients may notice numbness in the recipient area which can last up to weeks and months. But it doesn't require any care or attention.

  7. Visible scarring is the most common complication encountered in hair transplantation. When performed with FUT can leave linear scar at donor region.

  8. Risk of infection is most commonly associated with any kind of surgery. If you notice any infection then you must visit your hair transplantation clinic to prevent severe problem.
