  1. What is “androgenic alopecia”? Androgenic alopecia, commonly known as “male pattern baldness” is the form of hair loss that affects most men who are over the age of 50. There are cases where this occurs at a younger age, which is why hair growth treatment products like Hair Plus Advance have entered the market. What causes “androgenic alopecia”? Most men lose hair because of genetics, or a history of baldness in the family. Recent studies show that androgenic alopecia is linked to the male sex hormones known as “androgens”, which regulate hair growth among other functions. Each hair follicle has a growth cycle, but androgenic alopecia weakens this cycle and causes the follicle to shrink. This results in finer and shorter hair strands, and once the hair growth cycle eventually ends, so does the production of new follicles. Androgenic alopecia caused by genetics is quite normal, but there are some medical conditions or procedures which cause balding. These include anabolic steroids, thyroid conditions, medications, chemotherapy and some cancers. Consult your physician if you are losing hair after taking some medicines. What are the symptoms of “androgenic alopecia”? If you look at the mirror and notice your hair receding from the crown of the head or the temples, you may be experiencing androgenic alopecia. Some males will only get bald in a particular area, while others will begin to notice an “M” shape forming on their heads. The rest of the men will end up having a receding hairline until most or all of the hair is no more. What is the solution to this problem? Make use of the formula that will maintain healthy hair and fight hair loss, Hair Plus Advance for Men!
