Background(cont.) • The Importance of Beacon Frames IEEE 802.11 claims that “ AP periodically broadcasts beacon frames to maintain the connectivity with clients” If beacon did not arrive timely Clients will disconnect with AP after several beacon frames losses !!!
An open flaw of IEEE 802.11 Periodic beacon sending makes it easy to predict the TX time of beacon frames Jam at the beacon time Other clients will not receive beacon frames, then disconnect from the AP Malicious clients will enjoy the AP source totally!!!
