Incubation Design Lessons • Computer based education and services is the initial attraction for Rural ICT Entrepreneurs to enter the incubation fold • Business models based on ICTs alone are not sufficient for successful entrepreneurship • Businesses become more sustainable if their core is community-centric and locally relevant • Building around prior domain knowledge enhances the entrepreneur’s staying power allowing creativity to creep into the business development process • Regional approach including geographic, socio-economic and cultural contexts for organic growth • Action research is necessary for project processes and goals to be continuously revised and aligned to the field
