Electronic Surveys • PDS can convert agency surveys into an electronic format • About the Survey • Respondents visit a website to take the survey • Surveys can be set up to be 100% confidential (recommended), or there is an option to track the respondents • Real-time results calculated automatically

  3. Electronic Surveys - Creation • PDS will create an electronic survey for you to review based on questions and information you have given PDS • Variety of question formats and options • Examples • PDS will work with you to make any necessary changes or enhancements to the survey

  4. Electronic Survey – Creation • After the survey is finalized, a URL (web address) is generated and distributed to the agency • The agency may copy and paste this URL in an email message to their target audience • There is not a limit to the number of respondents

Electronic Survey - Results • Results Calculated Automatically • A second URL is provided to the agency where they may go to view the real-time results • Example • Excel Spreadsheet • An Excel spreadsheet of the data collected may be requested from PDS • Allows you to manipulate and analyze the data collected

Electronic Survey - Results • Cross-tabulated Results • Simple cross-tabulations can be created by PDS within Zoomerang • Shows relationships between answers made for two survey questions • Example: • Q 1 asks respondents for which division they currently work • Q 2 asks if department goals are clearly communicated • You want to see a breakdown of how each division responded to this question

  8. Electronic Survey - Costs • PDS charges a rate of $50 per hour for electronic survey development, support, and consultation • The complexity and length of the survey will determine the number of hours required • Generally expect 3-5 hours
