  1. Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed. And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground – trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food … the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.   3. The way we evaluate the significance of what we do is vastly different than the way God does.

  4. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12:4-8

  5. Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven Colossians 3:22-4:1

When You’re Working for Man • Always show up just barely on time, but never early – and clock out the moment your shift is over • Gossip about your co-workers • Complain about your boss • Look like you’re busy whenever your boss walks by • Look to your boss as the source of your well-being and prosperity • Do as little as you can so you can spend as much time as possible checking your Facebook page

  12. “I want what _____ has” = • “God, I’m dissatisfied with what You have given me.” • “I don’t trust You to run my life as well as I can.”

  13. How you perform NOW, where you ARE, is more important to God than how you THINK you would perform if you moved into that other industry or position.
