RMS Task Force – update to RMS Process Improvements from Lessons Learned During 12/3 Outage Recap of meeting on 1/9/13 1. Reviewed feedback on market notice improvements • ERCOT will begin drafting updates to COMG – Appendix A: Market Notice Communication Process • ERCOT will review content in market notices for improvements from feedback received (example about transaction backlog) 2. Ad hoc market calls • ERCOT will document the timelines and trigger for when to have a market call in the SLA documents • Clean up also needed in the Retail Market Guide about who can request market call 3. Manual business processes during outages • Updates are needed in Retail Market Guide • Safety net Move Ins • Switch hold • New section needed in Retail Market Guide • Safety Net Move Outs • Reviewing other sections to determine if other changes are needed • Market volunteers will draft Retail Market Guide revision request. It will be circulated for edits to the Task Force (discussion via Web-Ex), then submitted to ERCOT market rules for assigning a number and consideration by RMS (in March) Lessons Learned
