  3. Current Environment • The Current Environment consists of: • 19 Mailbox servers • 3 Front-End servers (Virtualized) • 3 Connection servers • 2 Public Folder servers • 1 DR server

Current Environment • The Current Environment Consists of: • Exchange 2003 (32-bit Windows 2003 Server) • Optimized SAN storage for Exchange • 70,000 plus mailboxes • 5.7 terabytes of live data (Ave of 330 GB per) • Virus scanning (multiple layers) • Connections from desktops, OWA, Blackberries, and iPhones • Tons of restore requests (both user and legal)

  5. Performance Issues • Limit of 4000 mailboxes per mailbox server (per MS Best Practices) • Mailboxes vs. mailbox equivalents • Additional users added (NCH, Uville, NWH) • Non-Paged Pool (NPP) usage • TrendMicro ScanMail • 3 new mailbox servers – Coming Soon!!!
