Basics • Football has 4 quarters • Offense Has 4 downs to get 10 yards if they don’t get 10 yards in the tries its called a turnover • If the offense exceeds 10 yards then its called a First Down • The Field is 100 yards Long • Touchdown-6 points • Field Goals-3 points • Saftey-2 points • Extra Points-1 for Kick 2 for running a offensive play

  3. Offense • Consist of 11 players • Can either Run or Pass the Ball • Objective is to Score and get first downs

  5. Defense • Defense objective is to stop and prevent the offense from scoring • Consist of 11 players • Schemes to stop the offense by responding to either the run or pass plays ran by the offense.

  8. Special Teams • Consist of 11 players • Field Goals • Kickoffs and Kickoff Returns • Punt and Punt Returns • Special Teams are important because they determine either a score or field position
