Friendship A term used to denote co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more humans. “Who finds a faithful friend, finds a treasure.”
Perseverance A term for human endurance. “Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other.”
Courage Also known as bravery, will and fortitude, courage is the ability to confront fear, pain, risk/danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. “Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live.”
Cooperation The process of working or acting together. “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
Sense of Humor The ability of people, objects, situations or words to evoke feelings of amusement or happiness. “No mind is thoroughly well organized that is deficient in a sense of humor.”
Effort The use of physical or mental energy; hard work. “Beyond the mountains there are mountains again.”
Curiosity Any natural inquisitive behavior, evident by observation in many animalspecies, and is the emotionalaspect of living beings that engenders exploration, investigation, and learning. “When you are curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.”
Pride Pleasure or satisfaction taken in an achievement, possession or achievement. “Pride is a personal commitment. It is an attitude which separates excellence from mediocrity.”
Caring “Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.” Feeling and exhibiting concern and empathy for others.
Problem Solving The ability to analyze information related to a given situation and generate appropriate response options. “Life is a continuous exercise in creative problem solving.”
Initiative The power or ability to begin or to follow through energetically with a plan or task. "An idea is worthless unless you use it."
Resourcefulness The quality of being able to cope with a difficult situation.
