Points to Remember • All graduate courses must be taught by graduate faculty (Graduate Faculty Nomination Form), or • Requests for Non-grad faculty to teach must be approved 20 working days prior to the beginning of the semester (course specific) (Non Graduate Faculty Nomination Form) (http://www.ncsu.edu/grad/faculty-and-staff/forms-list.html) http://www.ncsu.edu/grad/handbook/sections/1.3-grad-faculty.html
Points to Remember • All instructors must have an active HR record • All course sections must have Primary Instructors (PI) and Secondary Instructors (SI) with a total load = 100%

Points to Remember • Support (SU) personnel do not need to be graduate faculty • Graded course sections must be taught by graduate faculty or approved non-grad faculty
Points to Remember • Cancel sections that are not taught • Review graduate faculty roster (remove any faculty no longer with program) • For courses with many instructors (xxx 695 and xxx 895) schedule as one section with many faculty listed for students to choose
Points to Remember • Requests for non-grad faculty to teach summer 2012 must be received by the Graduate School by April 23, 2012. • Requests for non-grad faculty to teach fall 2012 must be received by the Graduate School by July 19, 2012.
Points to Remember • Sections scheduled to be taught by unapproved faculty will have enrollment halted (month before the semester begins) • Sections taught by unapproved faculty may be cancelled by the first day of classes.
