Goals • The principal goals of the NMATS include: • In coordination with the National Office of Global Maritime Situational Awareness (OGMSA) and the Global Maritime Intelligence Integration (GMAII), • Provide an effective methodology for the federal leadership to identify, participate in, and influence the technology-related processes and events supporting the federal role in the development of the nation’s maritime security. Goals (continued) • In coordination with OGMSA, GMAII and key MCOI organizations create a forum for the discovery and exploration of innovative acquisition processes and products that • Result in reduced expenditures and/or • Faster speed to capability in the transition of technology to the interagency member organizations (ensuring input from relevant operational commanders.)
