  2. Announcements • Make sure to get your writing pre-assessments in!! Its worth 100 pts, just for completing it! This is the last week You can do it!! • No LIVE classes next week • Office Hours only available on Monday • Capitol Day!- March 6th

  3. What are we going to learn today?? • Content: • I can use the COPS strategy to revise a paragraph • Language • I can accurately revise and edit my writing

  4. COPS • What is it?? Am I under arrest?? • COPS is a strategy that we use for revising our writing, it can be used for things as small as a paragraph and as large as a book.

  5. COPS • Capitalization • Organization • Punctuation • Spelling

  6. C.O.P.S. • C: Capitalization • Are the capitals in correct places? • Are proper nouns, titles, and the beginnings of sentences all capitalized?

  7. C.O.P.S. • O: Organization • Spaces between words & double spacing between lines? • Is neat printing/ writing/ typing utilized? • Are paragraphs indented? • Do paragraphs follow the model? • Are complete sentences used?

  8. C.O.P.S. • P: Punctuation • Is the punctuation correct? • Are there proper end marks, commas, semi-colons, colons, quotation marks, and hyphens used as required?

  9. C.O.P.S. • S: Spelling • Are all words spelled correctly? • Are you using utilizing tools such as dictionaries, or spell check?

  10. Watch Me!! On sunday, Anthony went over to Nicks house to play basketball. They played a gam of one-on-one. Anthony made six baskets, bute nick made eight Nick was the winner.   12. Your Turn! I have a really cool fish tank lots of excitin things inside. Their is guppies, tetras, and a tiny shark inside. Also, their are three snail that climb up the glass walls. They eate the green algae and keep the tank clean A frog named flipper also live in the tank, but he usually hide under the rocks. It’s fun to watch all the different creatures in mi tank. • C • O • P • S
