PEOPLESOFT TIMEKEEPING & CODESPresented by Jo Ann Buechler, Mayor’s Finance - Payroll Extension Services Conference Room June 5, 2013 12:00 – 1:00 PM
TIMEKEEPING • There are two methods of timekeeping in PeopleSoft: • Punch Time • Elapsed Time • Punch Time requires the employee to “punch” when arriving in the morning, leaving for lunch, returning from lunch, and leaving at the end of the day. • Elapsed Time allows the employee to record the # of hours worked each day.
PUNCH TIME Employee selects the punch type from the drop-down menu & clicks on “Enter Punch.” A pop-up box will show the time the punch was saved.
ELAPSED TIME • Employee enters the hours worked and selects a time reporting code and/or enters leave taken. To add rows for additional reporting codes, click the +.
MANAGER INVOLVEMENT WITH PUNCH • Employee “out” punch not recorded; hours are incorrect. Manager must enter “out” punch.
