  2. FIRST SATELLITE TO ORBIT EARTH On New Year’s Eve of 1958, Satellite was launched from the United States to measure the radiation environment in earths orbit. United States scientist aren't far behind the Soviet Unions’

  3. Brown Vs. Board of Education In 1954, the Supreme Court ruled that separate public schools for blacks and whites is unconstitutional. This Supreme Court ruling overturned the 1896 case, Plessy Vs. Ferguson which sponsored segregation.

  4. NEW MAN IN CHARGE • In 1953 Dwight D. Eisenhower becomes the 35th President of the United States. This five star general serves as the Supreme commander of the Allied forces in Europe.
