Plena Voice Alarm System Service training Firmware upgrade • Connect the LBB1990 to the PC with a RS232 (1 on 1) cable • Firmware upgrades are done via the Bootstrap loader program • BSLoader-xxx.exe • Each firmware file has his own jumper setting. • Default: 1: On, 2: On, 3: Off • Router: 1: Off, 2: Off, 3: On • Wave Player: 1: Off, 2: On, 3: On • Controller: 1: On, 2: Off, 3: On Department

Plena Voice Alarm System Service training Firmware upgrade • Preferred upgrade sequence; • Router f/w • Wave player f/w • Controller f/w • If the upgrade fails repeatedly; • Make sure the RS232 cable isn’t longer than 1.5m • Check jumper settings • During the upgrade to a lower firmware version, switch off to the unit. This causes the upload to fail. Then repeat the upgrade sequence again to the correct firmware version. Department
