  2. Introductions & Hello • To say How’s it going the French use the expression Comment çava? (comb monsava) • There are many possible responses to this including: çavabien(bee en – well) çava mal (m’al – badly) çavatrèsbien (tray bee en – very well) çavatrès mal (tray m’al – very badly) çavacomme ci commeça (comb see comb sa – so so) terrible (tear eebleuh– terrible) and pas mal (pahm’al – not bad) pas mal does not need the çava with it. • Go back to the video link and review the conversation at 5:36 then you will practice with a partner.

Try to write down another word or two that you might be able to understand and we will see what you come up with!

  4. Les Conversations • With a partner you are going to do the conversationout loud. This will be your first oral points grade!

  5. Les Devoirs • Each of you is going to have a French landmark or point of interest that you will do a very brief report on. There will be some important information that you will need to look up and then you will need to create a digital format that we can view on the computer while you are doing your presentation. You will need to start gathering information for this now and then we will work on it in class next Wednesday.
