  4. Spirited Student Advisory Board • Student elected Officers • Organize Homecoming Presence for AOIT • Organize and conduct Fund Raising Activities • New T-Shirt design • Collaborate with Business Advisory Board representatives • All grade levels represented • Preparing to become future leaders

  7. Business Advisory Board as Industry Advisors • Mission • To provide Corporate sponsorship • To foster mentor relationships with students • To improve the educational experience at Hoover High School • To review and recommend curriculum for business relevancy

  8. Scholarships • Business Advisory Board Goal: Increase number of college scholarships each year. • 2004 – 3 scholarships awarded • 2011 – 10 scholarships awarded

Giving Back To The Community Community service: • Teaching computer applications to senior citizens • Setting up fairs for community (Multicultural Fair, Technology Fair, Health Fair) • Empowering community through educational videos (Legal Aid Society and Media Center San Diego) • Public Speaking (translating for a community in need) • Car safety Program • Community Gardens • Canyon Clean Up

  18. 3 Career Pathways • All 10th grade AOIT students take Web Architecture • In 11th grade students choose career pathway that continues through their senior year: • 1. Modern Media Marketing then Multimedia • 2. Technical Support Systems (TSS)1, 2 then TSS 3,4 • 3. GIS 1,2 then GIS 3,4
