9 Circles of Hell. Circle 1=Limbo. This is for babies who were not baptized Also, Virgil and Homer were here because they were born before Jesus. Therefore, they did not know about Christianity. Punishment=No punishment, just sad souls. Circle 2=Lust.

  2. Circle 1=Limbo • This is for babies who were not baptized • Also, Virgil and Homer were here because they were born before Jesus. Therefore, they did not know about Christianity. • Punishment=No punishment, just sad souls

  3. Circle 2=Lust • People who committed adultery, sins of the flesh • Punishment=Souls are constantly on fire in a violent wind storm

  4. Circle 3=Gluttony • People who overindulged in fire food and booze. • Punishment=Force fed rats, toads, and snakes. The souls also float in smelly poo. • This circle is guarded by Cerberus, a three headed dog

  5. Circle 4=Hoarders and Misers • People who had lust for material things, hoarders, and penny pinchers. Also corrupt clergymen and people who are wasteful. • Punishment=Two teams of souls push large boulders around in a circle. When they run into each other, they turn around and start again.

  6. Circle 5=Anger • People who were always ready to fight and argue • Punishment=Some souls wrestle and fight each other in boiling mud while other souls have to stay under water.

  7. Circle 6=Serious Criminals • Heretics • Punishment=Souls lie in fiery graves

  8. Circle 7=Violence • Includes people who committed suicide and those who were crazy. Violence against fellow man. • Punishment=Float in boiling blood and some are chased by vicious dogs and ripped apart over and over. Some lie on boiling hot sand while ashes fall on them.

  9. Circle 8=Fraud • People who were sorcerers and those who were pimps, thieves, liars, flatterers and seducers. Sorcerers who sold church pardons and offices. Magicians, astrologers. • Punishment=Swim in poo, feet set on fire, boiling pool of tar, engulfed in constant flames, stabbed over and over by a devil while walking in a circle.

  10. Circle 9=Traitors • People who were traitors • Punishment=Frozen in a lake of ice. • Brutus from Julius Caesar is here with Satan
