However, some other companies and organizations offer merit scholarships such as the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and the Elks National Foundation. Essay Scholarships Can you write a strong essay? Do you consider yourself a good writer? If your answer is yes, then you stand a chance of getting an essay scholarship. Essay scholarships range in the amount of money awarded. You can get as little as $100 to tens of thousands of dollars. For you to win, some essay competitions will look at your academic performance and the essay.
