MITOSIS 2014 The annual sports and cultural fest of Deccan College of Medical Sciences. • Hosted by the final year students of Deccan College of Medical Sciences, it’s the only event that brings together the entire student body and staff once a year. • From a humble beginning, this event has now acquired the repute of a pivotal event in the calendars of all Medical Schools of Andhra Pradesh.

  2. Deccan College of Medical Sciences The college was instituted in 1985. It has produced innumerable doctors over 25 years. This year is our 30th Anniversary. Two major hospitals are associated with Deccan College of Medical Sciences(DCMS), Owaisi Hospital and Research Centre(OHRC) and Princess EsraHospital (PEH) Doctors have been spreading it’s glory far and wide, even internationally. The organizing batch of 2010 is the 26th batch of this esteemed institution and will be hosting MITOSIS 2014. College website: www.deccancollegeofmedicalsciences.com

  5. Who will be attending? There will be full attendance of the students and staff of Deccan College of Medical Sciences throughout the event including 1000current medical students,500interneesand ex-students and 200 staff members. The students and staff of Deccan - College of Pharmacy, College of Physiotherapy, College of Hospital Management and College of Nursing will also be invited that adds up to another 1000 students. The invitees also include students and staff of Osmania Medical College, Gandhi Medical College, Apollo Medical College and other colleges And more medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh adding up to 500 more students. FAMILIES AND FRIENDS of the visiting students and doctors are welcome. The TOTAL NO. of people attending the event will be 2500-3000.

  12. Budget and Popularity of the event Our budget :18-20 lakhs. The sporting, cultural and literary events spanning the week are quoted to cost up to--6-8 lakhs. The Closing Night grand ceremony is quoted to cost up to--7-8 lakhs. This is a great event for the sponsors as they get to showcase their business prowess and products to a capacity crowd of medical professionals, paramedical professionals, and atleast1200 students, their families and friends. Local News paper, the College Magazine, Local Radio channel coverage. One of the most awaited Medical College fests in the whole state of Andhra Pradesh. College is graced with the presence of students belonging to the cream of the society.

Closing Ceremony Perhaps the most awaited event of MITOSIS, which bears witness to a crowd of more than 4000 spectatorsincluding esteemed doctors, politicians, eminent personalities, socialites, students, friends and families. The exhilarating and enlivening performances by the artists invited from popular Artists and Groups, the other performers and the medicos themselves is a toast to the eye. This year promises to bear witness to a great showdown.

With such huge spectatorship, the event forms a perfect platform for any organization to launch, generate awareness, sell or inform individuals about their offerings. Inter-Collegiate Event: Communication with many different medical colleges via Event Posters, Teaser Mails and Formal Invitations sent to each of them results in reaching over 5,000 people from the medical fraternity.
