  3. Surfers have to ride powerful ocean waves, often in challenging conditions such as; Large swells Strong winds Dangerous currents

  4. Some of the other dangers associated with surfing are wipeout & collision.

  5. Having the right surf gear before you hit the waves is therefore important.

  8. It is simply not possible to surf without a surfboard.

  9. Choose the right surfboard for you- based on factors such as; Your surfing style Type of waves you plan to surf

  10. Surfboard leash

  11. Another important surf gear is the leash.

  12. This urethane cord essentially keeps the surfer connected to the surfboard.

  13. The leash you choose should be the same length as the board it will be used on.

  14. Fins

  15. Surfboard needs fin for three different reasons; Stability Control Direction

  16. Just so you know, surfboard fins are of 5 types; single, twin, tri-fin, quad, and a five-fin set.

  18. Another crucial surf equipment is a wetsuit.
