  1. Looking For Hangover Cures? Try This, Not That! Restlessness, tiredness, fatigue, headaches, and nausea are some of the common after effects of too much alcohol. What is it about alcohol that makes an incredible Saturday evening into a horrible Sunday morning! Hangover cures range from the hair of the dog remedy to eating Sauerkraut and even sex! But how many of these cures work? Here’s what you shouldn’t do to get rid of the hangover symptoms: Hair of the Dog: Downing a Bloody Mary isn’t going to cure a hangover. Instead, it numbs the effects, only causing the symptoms to prolong and probably make the headache worse. You are only increasing your chances of alcohol dependency. Drink Water Instead… Alcohol is diuretic and causes dehydration. Water replaces lost fluids and helps to rehydrate. Better still, alternate between a glass of water and alcohol to prevent a hangover. Gatorade and Pedialyte are also recommended because they contain electrolytes that help to rehydrate quickly. But dehydration is just one aspect of the hangover – so drinking water or Gatorade alone will not work. Coffee: Coffee can help you manage the headache, but the effects are not lasting. Coffee does nothing to sober you up; nor does it help to manage other hangover symptoms. In fact, for some people, coffee may worsen the headache thanks to the caffeine that narrows blood vessels and increases blood pressure. Take A Hangover Preventive Pill Instead: Hangovers are partly because of the additives present in your drink. Some of these are produced during the fermentation process and end up worsening the symptoms. Oxidative stress (caused by free radicals) and inflammation (caused by the body’s reaction to toxins like alcohol and leading to swelling and tissue sensitivity) are also responsible for hangovers and headaches. Alcohol contains ethanol, which when broken down by the liver produces a toxin called acetaldehyde – a chemical compound that causes inflammation headaches. Hangover prevention pills help to break down these products so that you experience less of a hangover the next morning. Exercise: True, exercise helps to speed up metabolism. But it is not an effective cure for a hangover. Besides, if you do not drink enough water, you may end up dehydrated.

  2. Try a Hangover IV Drip Instead: Your body needs to be replenished with vitamins and minerals. A hangover IV drip with essential vitamins like B1, B6, B3, B6, etc. helps to cure a headache and other symptoms. It takes about 35 minutes once the IV has been placed for you to experience relief. And when the hangover is severe, the doctor may administer medications to manage the inflammation. Author Bio: The Author manages Hangover Heaven, a mobile Las Vegas IV hydration clinic that offers to treat hangovers.
