  2. What is Persuasion? • Persuasive text moves readers or listeners to a belief, position, or course of action. • It’s purpose is to not only inform, but convince a reader or listener to a belief, position, or course of action.

  3. Where is Persuasion? • All around us… • Bumper stickers • Movies • Songs • Speeches • Letters • Poems • Logos • Billboards • Commercials • Etcetera…
