Community Facilities Programs • USDA, Rural Housing Service (RHS) Community Facilities (CF) programs were established by Congress specifically to provide access to capital for a wide range of critical civic infrastructure facilities and services. • Who can participate? • Rural areas or Towns of up to 20,000 population • Counties • Indian Tribes • Municipalities • Non Profit Corporations • Public Entities • Municipalities • Special Use Districts 6

Rural Housing Service: Community Facilities Tribal College Initiative • $4.0 Million • Anticipate maximum grant request for FY 2014 is $250,000 • Project selections made on a nation wide competitive basis • Anticipate applications will be accepted through COB June 1, 2014 – (only tribal colleges can apply) • Applications should be submitted to the Rural Development State Office • Compete nationally for funding 10
