Heart of the Matter: Loving Boldly
Mark 12:28-31 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ Heart of the Matter – Loving Boldly
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Heart of the Matter – Loving Boldly
Lev. 19:18 “ ‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord’.” Heart of the Matter – Loving Boldly
1 John 4:7-11 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. Heart of the Matter – Loving Boldly
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Heart of the Matter – Loving Boldly
Why We Can Love Boldly • Because God Forgave Us in Christ • Because We Need Others To Forgive Us • Because It Shows Who We Belong To Heart of the Matter – Loving Boldly
