Examples of Systems Collaboration at different levels • One job seeker – who is deaf and non-verbal • Group of 6 job seekers – from the Mental Health Clubhouse • Population of job seekers – youth with disabilities • Population of job seekers – individuals with developmental disabilities
Example of System Collaboration: WIA, Voc Rehab, Navigator, School, Employer Step #1. Deaf job seeker who is non-verbal accesses Navigator & Workforce Center a. Job seeker is motivated & wants to work with animals Step #2. WIA program pays for dog-grooming school Step #3. Voc Rehab pays for interpreter services Step #4. Navigator provides accommodation info & disability awareness to WIA case manager & school Step #5. Employer is committed & waiting for client to complete training program
Example of System Collaboration: Mental Health Clubhouse, Voc Rehab, Workforce Center & Navigator Step #1. Navigator established relationships Step #2. Presented on Workforce Center & Navigator services to Mental Health Clubhouse job club Step #3. Facilitated group orientation, tour of workforce center, Q&A session Step #4. Coordinate services between Navigator, Clubhouse Employment Specialist, Voc Rehab and job seekers
Transition Program, WIA Youth, SEED grant, Navigator Step #1. Navigator established relationships Step #2. Multiple youth grants came into Workforce Center Step #3. Navigator invited to sit on Youth Grants committee Step #4. Multiple streams of funding are being blended to provide integrated pre-employment training and work experiences to youth w/ & w/o disabilities
Community Centered Board, Workforce staff, WIA, Navigator Step #1. Navigator established relationships Step #2. Navigator presented to CCB Case Manager staff meeting Step #3. Set up tour & orientation of Workforce Center for job coaches & job developers through the Community Centered Board Step #4. Will host brainstorming session w/ Workforce center staff & WIA staff to discuss partnership
