  1. Year 3s investigation about the most common letter in the English alphabet.

  2. We carried out some investigation about the most common letter in the English language. We picked a book at random. We chose a page at random. Our strategy was counting letters whilst a person was telling their partner the letters that appeared then they were tallying the letters of they alphabet.

E is the most common letter as it has appeared 36 times but the difference between the most common letter and the least common letter is 36 as you may have noticed the least common letter is zero. There is a tie at zero with q,x,t,k and z. There is most certainly not a draw at the at the top it is only E.

  5. The most common letter is E and most certainly not R as it appeared only 8 times .It was 12th in the alphabet.
