Mississippian Period Warfare summary Warfare affected Indians lives in many ways. The most common type of warfare was a raid carried out by a small group of men. Warriors mostly used weapon in a raid was a war club. Scalps were taken in to show there success in war. Indian men considered themselves warriors by training with long bows and war clubs.
