  2. Shaquille O’Neal was born on March 6th, 1972 in Newark, NJ. He didn’t see his dad until he was a teenager. He went to military school in NJ. He started to play basketball at age 12. He was 6 ft. 8 in. at that time. Then he moved to San Antonio, Texas at age 13 He attended Robert G. Cole for Middle and High school He was 7 ft. 1 inch when he was 16. His high school basketball team won the state championship when he was a sophmore. Shaq’s Childhood…

Shaq got a different nickname whenever he switched teams First it was “The Diesel” when he was on the Orlando Magic Then it was “Shaq Fu” when he was on the Los Angeles Lakers He turned into “Superman” and the “Big Agave” when in Miami Then “The Big Daddy” in Pheonix. Than in Boston he turned into “The Big Aristotle” and “The Big Shamrock”. Shaq’s nicknames

He was the 2nd tallest player in the league [ Yao Ming 7 ft. 6 in.] He left Orlando after 4 seasons and went to the Los Angeles Lakers He won 3 championships with the Los Angeles, then was traded to the Miami Heat He won his last championship with the Miami Heat with Dwayne Wade than was traded again to the Pheonix Suns He had a unsuccessful season dealing with injuries Than he was signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers He also had a bad case of injuries in Cleveland Than he finally came to the Boston Celtics to finish his very successful career.
