Most of these people like this environment, and avoid conflict and interference from others…
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • The Administrator is a generalized profile style that we can recognize almost immediately by the presence of high A and high C, regardless of the position of the other two.
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • If the E moves higher than the ERL, we merely have a friendly, ambitious Admin type, which can include support people, programmers, accountants, bookkeepers, engineers and many others.
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • If the P moves higher than the ERL, we merely have a more determined, potential office leader, but still an Admin type, which can include support people, programmers, accountants, bookkeepers, engineers and many others.
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • Literally, any position that requires thought, precision, detail work, and less people to people actions is probably a profile much like below. The scary part is that, every so often, our client is just this profile… Now what?
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • If you are doing free reads, and subsequently draw them in as a client, you must remember this: They can be very intelligent, but not necessarily bright. Bright assumes speed, and there is no urgency in this profile. So, what?
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • Again, you can stick your neck out a bit, but you want to do it in the guise of many other profiles. “Most profiles like this love detail work, accounting, doing the books, almost anything other than hitting the phones… how about you?”
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • They might tell you they love phone work, which is probably a lie, but your backup statement might hit home. “I bet you prefer calling people you know, rather than strangers, right?” Almost always, that is the key. So something we need to remember…
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • The EEOC says that “Anyone can be trained to do anything!” We add a caveat to that: “Yes, given time and enough money!” Guess what one of the most pressing reasons for success might be? They own the company!
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • Usually, what will have happened, is they have some stronger profiles at the desk, and they are trying to manage them. We are going to have to give them some tips to stave off turnover, because few driven profiles will tolerate this one!
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • So, based on what we know about Drivers, or even the Ambitious profile, the most important factors are that they do not want to be micro-managed, and they hate meetings… especially the Driver, unless there is some good in it for him or her.
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • And guess what this profile loves? Right, meetings. In order to be assured that all the ducks are in a row, and every I is dotted, every T is crossed, they love meetings…Dry, boring…
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • But one of the bigger problems is what I call the ‘roll your eyes management results.’ This happens when someone who is not driven nor ambitious comes into the room, lays out five or ten things THEY would like to see done and then heads out the door. • Every one behind them rolls their eyes and goes right on doing what they were before. • Essentially, an ineffective manager here, too, but you have to be careful with that.
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • Being careful means asking sometimes sensitive questions. One successful process we see with an Administrative profile is a husband and wife team, or two close friends, one who is the Driver or high Ambition, the other takes care of the books… but, unfortunately, because the Driver needs to be selling… the Admin often handles training. More things to be careful in discussing.
Step VII- ADMINISTRATORS • What our consultants and Readers suggest is that they find a profile with experience and more driven, so that they can sit back and take care of the details, while the hard charger runs the team.
