Framework The NTN Business Creation is one of 14 NTNs in Germany, which were built up in the first round of EQUAL Beginning with Action 2 in June 2002, possible Mainstreaming topics and activities were discussed (EQUAL unit and DPs) As a result, 14 networks started working in December 2002 Each network defined its own working plan and activities (bottom-up principle) DPs were the key actors, but the networks were open for external stakeholders Arbeitstagung Mainstreaming, 9-10. NTN Business Creation -Political Background- Business creation is actually one of the political priorities in Germany As a result of the instrument „Ich-AG“ (2003) there is an increasing number of enterprises, which are founded by disadvanted people (e.g. long term jobless); estimated 400.000 in 2004 Coaching and financing instruments are not yet fully adopted to the specific needs of these groups Arbeitstagung Mainstreaming, 9-10.
