Bang! Bang! Bang! SoftTotalQC Reports Showdown: Fast Draw Techniques
Objectives Upon completing this session, attendees will be able to: • Understand the various report options and settings available • Build effective report templates for review purposes, or in preparation for an inspection • Better analyze your reports output, interpret the data, and compare results
Agenda • Introduction: Benefits of using report templates • General tips for building templates • Statistics Report: Building templates for Lot, QC item and Test category, format report using various options, tips on understating output of the search • Graph Report: Building templates for LJ Graph, customize tables in printed report, format report • Linearity Report and Standard Curve functionality • Equipment Maintenance results: Identifying the right report type to meet your needs • Questions • Patient Correlation Study Report (for reference)
Benefits of using report templates • It is a one-time process to build report templates and define desired format options, which ultimately saves valuable time and frustration when pulling routine reports • Templates allow users to easily capture the data that they need, and immediately display data included in the report in a user-friendly and concise format • Predefined report templates can be scheduled to print on regular intervals • Interactive Output provides dynamic reports that allow users to interact with the data and apply various actions to the results, such as Reviews, Comments, and Excluding outlier points from statistics • Separate templates can be created for each Department
General Tips For Templates Search criteria, Format tab options
General Tips: Search Criteria Select only one Date Range criterion and limit it by shorter periods of time Define Department Define QC items Select Instruments OR Workstations
General Tips: Format Uncheck unnecessary sections Customize tables Check radio-button selections Exclude outliers Check to print actions
General Tips: Format Check Result Types Define Title and Review Comment Preview report to check applied format Copy templates to use same format
DO NOT • Do not create one template for everything in the Lab • Do not leave all criteria not defined • Do not use only the defaults • Do not define all criteria Do not define long date range Do not define contradicting criteria, do not define both Order and Result Status Do not select same sorting option
Statistics Report Categories, Templates, Format
Statistics Report Remember: changing category will change your format options! Lot QC item Test Lot QC item
Tips for defining Search Criteria Limit report output Prepare template for supervisor monthly review Define Department Define QC items OR Tests OR Lots according to category

Equipment Maintenance Reports Results Report, QC Parameter Tracking & Other Equipment Tips
Maintenance Record Report This report provides a hard copy of the ENTIRE Maintenance Record.
Report Setup:Maintenance Log Report Template Format the report, as desired
Maintenance Order: Option 1 Option 1: Resulting Tech must enter a Result Comment for selected Param
Results Report Template: Criteria for Selected QC Parameters Default Category OK Define Equipment in QC Items Select QC Parameters of Interest Qualify Param’s with Comment
Results Report Template: Format Tab for Selected QC Parameters Print only qualifying QC Param’s Customize tables Unselect unnecessary criteria
Results Report: Report Output Report displays only selected QC Parameters with added Result Comments!
Maintenance Order: Option 2 Option 2: Resulting Tech can bridge to Maintenance Log from the Lot number field to enter an Action
Maintenance Record: Maintenance Log Action added for specific Param’s can be quickly referenced from Maintenance Log
Additional Tips: Review Worklists • Consider creating a Review Worklist Template for an Equipment record to view results for the pastweek by setting the Scheduled Date Range to 7 daysbackwards. • This will generate a shorter, more manageable worklist from which you can open each order’s details and view results. • From the Review Worklist, the system provides the ability to bridge directly to a Results Report or an Action Log Report for those orders selected within the worklist.
Additional Tips: Review Worklists • In addition, separate Review Worklist Templates could be created to only qualify orders that contained parameters generated using a Weekly and/or a Monthly frequency. • This will facilitate quicker review of the maintenance procedures performed between longer intervals of time, without having to weed through all of the daily maintenance results.
Additional Tips: Review Worklists • Within a Review Worklist, users can expand the order details to view all results, and check to see if weekly or monthly maintenance was performed along with the daily.* *Please note: checked check box type results appear as a “1” within the Result column.
Additional Tips: RBS Rules • Create RBS rules that will trigger when a specific action is added to an Equipment Maintenance Record Log. • The information included in the message should be: “Action ID, Equipment ID, and the text entered in the comment section of the action (Action Comment).” • The available action types in the lookup are: • Calibration • Maintenance • Reagent change • Repair • Troubleshooting
RBS Rule for Equipment Example Create an Equipment maintenance management RBS Rule Define Equipment and Maintenance Action that will trigger the rule to fire
Support Task Suggested Information • Describe what do you expect to see on the report • Provide screen shot of your search criteria • Provide screen shot of your Format tab • Provide screen shot or Copy of your report (pdf) • Define SoftTotalQCversion and environment (LIVE, TEST, UPG, etc.) • List questions need to be addressed for your report

Patient Correlation Study Report Interactive Output
Patient Correlation Study Report • New category is available for the Comparison Report • Report allows users to compare the results of the same sample run on different instruments or methods and produce various graphs and calculations. • Mean, Range and Delta type results can be used to generate this report 1. An Error Index graph based on the total allowable error defined in Test setup 2. A scatter plot and Youden plot based on 95% confidence 3. Correlation Study summary, Result table • Interactive Output can be saved to SoftMedia and can be added to lot records selected for the report • Report provides:
