Background - OSR eBGT Project – Online Standards Registry (OSR) The UN/CEFACT Online Standards Registry (OSR) is the prime mechanism for storing, managing and distributing UN/CEFACT artefacts. It is designed to be used in two contexts: • by all users to search and retrieve one or more public stored artefacts; • by the various working groups within UN/CEFACT to submit, validate, search, and retrieve private, working and public stored artefacts. OSR is implementation of UN/CEFACT Registry Implementation Specification, V 1.3 UN/CEFACT Registry Implementation Specification based on OASIS ebXML Reg/Rep • ebXML Registry Information Model (RIM) • ebXML Registry Services Specification (RS)
Background - OSS eBGT Project – Online Standards Showcase (OSS) The OSS will be a resource available via the Internet, demonstrating a representative set of UN/CEFACT processes supporting the Buy-Ship-Pay model. It will contain process descriptions, documentation, and business information models with corresponding XML schemas. The goal is to present a coherent framework that will facilitate awareness-building, with a view to fostering confidence that implementing the UN/CEFACT's standards and guidelines will result in more effective e-business, e-government and e-trade. The OSS is intended to reach a variety of audiences, from executives to managers to technology implementers; and to resonate with the widest possible range of stakeholders around the world.

Current Status • Discussed at March, 2010 and June, 2010 Extended Bureau meetings • Decision to limit focus of project for initial implementation • Publish CCL to web • Target general public, not only UN/CEFACT members • Focus on user experience for browse and search • Create and demonstrate prototype • Publish and solicit feedback for improvements • Publish updated functional requirements to reflect new scope • Request submission of reference implementations • Review and approve submitted reference implementations
