  2. Stage 1:Initial Idea • Simple idea were the glass protected from wind in the west but still allowed light in • Place on original site • No need to destroy existing site • Roof cladding- pergola design

  3. 2nd and Final stage

Project Idea • Built to last at least 5 years minimum. • 5 to 25 individuals at one time, or the equivalent of 100 sitting. • Multipurpose area: The pavilion is partitioned into four parts with an adjoining roof so it is one space but allows up to 4 activities to be take place at one time • Includes appropriate protection from the weather and is usable year around in the appropriate summer and winter/ cold passive systems. • Integrated fireplace in the structure to be used during the colder months. • 20 ft height and doesn’t effect any trees or existing area • The pavilion does not overpower the space and is practical

Project Ideation • Risen up on columns like the Saudi Arabian Pavilion • Organic qualities • Swedish Pavilion featured 4 different spaces • Modular • I liked the qualities of these two pavilions although I felt as though they don’t agree with the site that we were given. Therefore, I believe that glass allows the space to be incorporated and flow into the pavilion
