Partnership Overview • Groups of United Ways working on issues collectively • Formal agreements (MOUs) • Sharing human and financial resources to address common challenges • Making strategic decisions together • Holding one another accountability • Measuring results collectively Each Partnership will launch with a 14-month Partnering Program which will provide coaching and facilitation to help build our partnering muscle. Partners Commitment • Commit to working together on the issue with other United Ways for the long term • Dedicate CEO, lead volunteer and lead staff time to the partnership • Be ready to engage in joint planning, co-investing of resources, and joint resource development for shared goals • Invest in and participate in 14-month Partnering Program with an initial fee of $30,000 to cover the costs of the program, facilitation and coaching support. • Other commitments and investments to be decided on by the members of the Partnerships. Process and Timeline • Share information with Senior Staff and Boards • Submit a letter of intent and sign up for an interview by December 31st • Complete the Partnership application and interview by February 1st • Selection committee will review and respond in early March 2013 • Partnerships will launch in late spring of 2013 An Invitation to Lead: United Way Partnerships
