  1. Tier ll Choice Rule Orientation Admirals Hockey Club Fall 2014

  2. Every hockey player in the State of Illinois may choose between two (2) Tier II Member Associations as to where to play amateur Tier II travel hockey. Each player playing Tier II travel hockey is restricted to two (2) Tier II Member Associations through the player’s U14 year in youth hockey (e.g.,bantam). Players playing in the U16 and U18 level will be allowed One (1) additional choice in addition to their current choice Associations.

  3. What is Tier II travel hockey in this part of Illinois? NIHL and CSDHL What is not Tier II travel hockey? NWHL and Spring Hockey What is a choice? You use a “choice” when you sign a Tier ll Declaration which is required before you are placed on a Tier ll travel hockey roster.

  4. Appeals for the granting of an additional choice may be made to AHAI. Each player requesting the granting of a substitution shall clearly present the facts supporting the following: 1. That the predicament of the player is due to unique circumstances that were not created by the player. 2. That the purpose in requesting the substitution is not based exclusively upon a desire to be rostered on a team that is perceived to be better. 3. That the granting of the substitution furthers the goals, objectives and policies of USA Hockey and the Amateur Hockey Association Illinois, Inc. 4. That the granting of the substitution is not detrimental to amateur Tier II travel hockey. If a player requests a substitution the player must give up a past choice. THESE SUBSTITUTIONS ARE NOT ROUTINELY GRANTED.

  5. For more information you can consult the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois’ website at www.AHAI.org. If you have specific questions or concerns about signing a Tier II declaration and using a choice at the Admirals Hockey Club please contact Susan Gawley, the Registrar of the Admirals.
