Step 1 (Works for Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1)
Hold and R together. Write appwiz.cpl in the new field, then click OK. Search around for LUCKYBROWSE and anything else suspicious-looking. Be careful, but not too much – malware sometimes choose different names to confuse you, so take note of anything recently added that seems like a virus to you. Highlight and Uninstall these.
STEP 2: LUCKYBROWSE has infected ALL of your browsers. Apply the steps separately for each of them.
For Internet Explorer Users: Open IE, then click settings —–> Manage Add-ons. Find LUCKYBROWSE . Disable it. If your Home Page is different from the usual, click settings —–> Internet Options>edit the URL box, type whatever you want, then click Apply.
For Mozilla Firefox Users: Open Firefox, click settings(top right) ——-> Add-ons. Hit Extensions next. The virus should be somewhere around here – Remove it.
For Google Chrome Users: Start Chrome, click settings —–>More Tools —–> Extensions. In Extensions, click LUCKYBROWSE and select trash . The click settings for the second time, and proceed to Settings —> Search (the fourth tab), select Manage Search Engines. In there, you should remove anything but the search engines you normally use(probably Google).
Step 3 Restore browser settings to their original defaults
(This will reset your homepage, new tab page and search engine, disable your extensions, and unpin all tabs. It will also clear other temporary and cached data, such as cookies, content and site data.)
Mozilla FireFox: Click on the orange Firefox icon->> choose Help ->>choose Troubleshooting information a) Click on Reset Firefox. Choose Reset Firefox again to make sure that you want to reset the browser to its initial state. b) Click Finish button when you get the Import Complete window.
Internet Explorer: a) Click Start, click Run, in the opened window type "inetcpl.cpl". b) Click "Advanced" tab, then click Reset.
Chrome: Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar and select Settings: a) Scroll down to the bottom of chrome://settings/ page and click Show advanced settings b) Scroll down to the bottom once again and click Reset Settings
