AP ENGLISH LITERATURE & COMPOSITION TEST • Scored on a 1-5 scale • 3 = a passing grade and college credit at most colleges and universities • 3-hour test: 1 hour of multiple choice questions analyzing lit. passages and 2 hours to write 3 expository essays • Last year’s class: 20 of 26 received a 3 or higher (77%) Pottsgrove’s typical avg. is ~82%. • +/- 48% passed nationwide

MCCC CREDIT • A total of 6 credits available! • First semester = ENG 101 = 3 credits • Second semester = ENG 102 = 3 credits • Access to MCCC facilities and resources • Check with your anticipated college choices to see which will be most beneficial for you. You may take the AP test and earn MCCC credit, or choose one, or choose neither.
