Workshop PASS IT ON Period 2: Development paradigm: Persons with a disability must be able to live a life as close as possible to what is seen as “normal” Persons with disabilities were seen as people with special needs and with individual development possibilities within the framework of “normal” standards/ programs. In this period special facilities are created e.g. sheltered employment, special schools, special houses, day centres etc.

If it is clear what type of job is wanted and that such a job is available, the early phases can be skipped and the focus can be on training and placement.
