  2. What is a Computer? • A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a set of instructions

  3. What is Accounting? • Accounting is the process of identifying, measuring and communicating financial information to persons such as stakeholders.

  4. How can computers help me in the future? • The world around us technologically advancing around us every day. Computers are being used more and more that before. In every day activities such as: • In cars • Security • Health care etc.

  5. How will they benefit me at work? • Using computers results are more accurate • It is also less time consuming • And reduces labour cost

  6. Computers can fit all this into this!!!

  7. What is accounting software and why will it be needed? • Accounting software is application software that records and processes accounting transactions. • Example : • Accounts receivable —where debtors accounts are documented • Accounts payable —where the creditors accounts are documented • General ledger —the company's financial situation "books" • Billing —where the company produces invoices to clients/customers • Stock/Inventory -where the company keeps control of its inventory • Purchase Order —where the company orders inventory • Sales Order —where the company records customer orders for the supply of inventory

  8. So after going through all this • We can conclude that my knowledge of computers will make my future career easier.
