USSOCOM Colonel John Cannaday, Director of Procurement SOCOM OCS Planning Initiatives Projects Best Practices • CONPLAN 7500 Revision 3 • SOCOM Campaign Support Plan • Early Stages • SPOT implementation on SIPRNet • Incorporate into SOCOM Policy • SOCOM OCS support structure • CCSP and CSIP (for National Force) • Integration with the CSO and J5 OPTs • Educating CCOs on OCS through the SOCOM • CCO Orientation Program and site visits • Development of a SOCOM Deployed Contractor Accountability Report Lessons Learned Planned Proj Initiatives (12-18 Months) • SOCOM plans and processes unlike those in the • GCCs –Service components independence • OCS awareness must be incorporated • throughout the SOCOM J-codes. • Reviewing GCC supporting plans for 7500 • Rev. 2 sets stage to further assist GCC JOCSPs • with TSOC reviews of plans/requirements • Continue to refine Annex W/CSIP to best-fit • SOCOM plans & requirements • Complete SPOT implementation for all • contractor personnel deployed • GAO Visit (tentatively scheduled for Apr 09) • Better Define SOCOM / TSOC / Component Contingency Contracting relationships
