Ephesians 4:22-28 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; [23] to be made new in the attitude of your minds; [24] and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. [26] “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,

  3. Ephesians 4:22-28 [27] and do not give the devil a foothold. [28] He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.

What’s so hard about ministry? • 94 percent feel pressured to have an ideal family. • 90 percent work more than 46 hours per week. • 81 percent say there is insufficient time with their spouse. • 80 percent believe that pastoral ministry affects their family negatively. • 70 percent do not have someone they consider a close friend.

  5. 70 percent have lower self-esteem than when they entered the ministry. • 53 percent have difficulty raising their children. • 50 percent feel unable to meet the needs of the job. • 46 Percent indicate sexual problems within their marriage. • 37 percent confess having been involved in inappropriate sexual behavior with someone in the church.
