2. About Doctor Mika At Hartland Orthodontics • Dr. Mika is a local resident, born and raised in Brighton. After high school, he attended the University of Michigan and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He attended dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation he worked as a general dentist before returning to school to obtain a specialty degree in the field of orthodontics. He attended Indiana University and received his Master of Science in Dentistry and his Certificate in Orthodontics in 2017. • He received American Board of Orthodontists certification in 2017. After living in Indiana for two years, Dr. Mika knew he wanted to return home to Michigan to practice.
