  3. Recovery • Healing from a physical illness is recovery e.g. a broken leg is mended • Recovery from mental illness is:- • Person centred • Occupation • Wellbeing • Managing symptoms • Social inclusion • Regardless of on-going or recurring symptoms

Case Study • Claire is 19 years old • History of anxiety since the age of 16 • Lost social contact and education suffered • Learned to manage anxiety • Reintegrated into society-involvement in social activities, personal development and education. • Mental health wellbeing achieved- content, healthy, successful.
