Introduction • Mock Test 10 follows the CLAT pattern wherein the students are subjected to the same level of difficulty both in terms of question type and level. The mock test comprises of five sections with a total of 200 questions. A student is expected to attempt this test in an actual test like environment wherein he has 120 minutes to complete the test and thus need to schedule his/her time accordingly.
English • This section was of moderate level of difficulty. The section consisted of: • 1 Reading Comprehension passage with 10 questions • 5 questions on Foreign language phrases • 5 questions on idioms • 3 questions on identifying parts of speech • 3 questions on correct spelling • 4 Fill in the Blanks questions • 5 questions on synonyms • 5 questions on Para jumbles
General Knowledge • The GK section comprised 50 questions in all and the overall the test was of moderate level of difficulty. • The test is divided into two sections: • I) Static GK: Like the previous mock here less emphasis has been given on Static GK. 23 questions are from Static GK. This section was of moderate level of difficulty. • II) Current GK: Current GK section comprises 27 questions and while analysing the Current GK, we find that the highest no. of questions is from International events, personalities and awards. This section was of moderate level of difficulty.
Mathematics • This section of the test was of moderate level of difficulty. This section consisted of • 11 questions on Arithmetic • 4 questions on Number System • 1 question on Geometry • 2 questions on Algebra • 2 questions on Modern Maths
Logical Reasoning • This section was of moderate level of difficulty. The section consisted of: • 3 questions on Logical Consistency • 5 questions on Fact and Opinion • 7 questions on Syllogisms (4 six sentence type) • 3 questions on Odd One Out • 3 Cause and Effect questions • 3 questions on Analogies • 3 Course of Action questions • 2 questions on Assertion and Reason • 5 questions on Critical Reasoning • 1 question on Blood Relation • 2 questions on Series • 3 questions on Analytical Reasoning
Legal Aptitude • This section had 50 questions on Legal Aptitude comprising of both Legal Reasoning as well as Legal Knowledge. The section consisted of: • • Legal Reasoning (30 questions) • • Legal Knowledge (20 questions) • Overall, the section was of Moderate difficulty level. The Legal Reasoning section specifically tested the ability of students to understand and interpret the legal principles and application of the same to the factual matrix to reach the best answer. • And, in order to answer the questions based on Legal Knowledge, students were expected to have some basic knowledge of various concepts under Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Law of Contracts and further to be acquainted with general legal principles.
